Our scrapes were tended with Mercurochrome. I think that's how to spell it. I have no idea what was in it; although now that I type it out, it sounds like mercury. Surely not.
It hurt, but only for a little while.

Maybe it was rubbing alcohol...I’m not sure. :)
But there was always boric acid ointment involved.
