I know supervisors who don’t hire them because of the built-in chip on their shoulders; it simply isn’t worth the hassle, so they hire Hispanics or white women instead (since they are equally-preferred “minorities”).
Where I was working, blacks that hired in and didn’t want to work under a white operator were put to work under black operators.
It didn’t take long before the black operators had enough of the crap of having people that didn’t want to work being dumped on them so they told the office to just fire them if they didn’t want to work under a white operator.
Operators were all on salary not hourly and got incentive pay, sort of bonus, based on billing.
Lazy bums, regardless of color, were costing them money and they got tired of loosing money every month.
