Did the cop who showed up have absolutely no idea of what was happening? Was he not briefed by the 911 operator who took the mother’s call?
I’m reserving judgement on this shooting...but the cop POSSIBLY may be too much of a pussy to be a cop. Or maybe it was a righteous shooting. I guess we’ll find out.
good cop or bad cop, what a lousy job. Had a fiend who had his gun taken from holster in bathroom of precinct and shot three times. he lived but God was he racist after that
I was taught to call 911 and put the gun out of reach before the police arrive to avoid exactly this situation.
A few years back a guy called police to report a home invasion only to panic and open fire on the cops when they arrived. Fortunately he didn’t hit anything and the cops didn’t fire back. The cops wrote it up as an accidental discharge.
Didn’t go further than the post, but the cop may have been a gal. They tend to pull the gun out a wee bit faster due to size, strength and things making them fearful faster than a guy.
She spun around and didn’t drop her weapon. Even if I was aware of what was happening I would probably interpret that she might be a danger to me and shoot her as well.
My thoughts. They had to know the the background of these folks. Ugly divorce, recent repeated court order violations, stalking, threatening, and hubby wanted to go out in big shootumup bang. Cop sees one down and one pointing a shotgun at him? Anyone would shoot at that point.
People seem to be wound really tight today.
