Lewis was part of Clint Eastwood’s crew of actors he regularly used in his movies. Lewis, Bill McKinney, John Quaid, Albert Popwell, and a few others were in a lot of Clint’s flicks. Many of them are now dead, and Clint ain’t getting any younger.

Baby Boomers will definitely recognize all three:

Bill McKinney
John Quade
Albert Popwell

He was in good shape. At 60+ years he acted in the Rough Riders and performed some good horseback skills. Very good character actor. RIP.

Sorry for the unkind responses you're getting. I keep up on this stuff, and somehow I didn't hear it either. Very memorable face, had a lot of good roles, surprised not to have heard about it.

When I learned that Juliette Lewis was his daughter, the resemblance was instantly recognizable.

BTW, when I think of him and his many roles, the scene that leaps to my mind is “Looook at me, teacher!” (Salem’s Lot)

“Juliette Lewis’ dad, on top of all that.”

More importantly, Ponch’s supervisor. :-)

I know the movie well. There was a killer looking blonde girl-friend of the underground figure (brother).

Good flick.
