She is so thin now she looks anorexic. She is as thin as a middle school girl....not a 30 something. We are all worried about her. I don’t see it as her fault at all. She has been nagging the doctors to fix this and no answers.

The simple answer is for my daughter’s future SIL to step up and do it, though she does not want to, she can save the day...problem is his family drama now. She is a photographer, too. She did the engagement photos.

xsteen’s inlaws were in town last weekend [the flyers fans] and were telling the story of how they were taking the train up to NYC for a work function and were at the Princeton station [I think?] and there was a guy there in a Rangers jersey and xsFIL said something like, oh that’s right you guys have a game tonight. and the guy said somewhat menacingly, are you Penguins fans? and he shook his head no and said, nah, Flyers. and the guy said C’MERE.... and xsMIL said, hey be sure and pummel that little puss Crosby tonight and the Ranger fan relaxed somewhat and said, aw, so you hate him too? LOL! de-fusing of the rabid rainja fan complete!

oh that’s right. but it is hard for a family member to do them bc they will not be able to enjoy the wedding themselves and be present in the moment for it, I can understand her not wanting to.

Nothing bonds people together like mutual hatred.

The Rangers are a good team, but it is sooo frustrating to keep losing one-goal games. Being blown out would not be as emotional.

The Penguins need some youth and stamina. They can’t go 60 minutes at a playoff pace. Other games they started slow. Last night, they finished slow.

Apparently, from DK, no one’s getting fired either. Did you read him last night? He made this column free for all.

no I didn’t see that. xshub says the Penguins have NOT been playing badly, so he doesn’t see the need for a bloodbath firing, they are just losing the close ones.

Yep. They are giving it their all, but it isn’t enough. No lucky bounces, either.

DK says they have a good core, but need some health on D and some fresh young legs.

Rutherford did hamstring himself on salary cap, which is the major complaint on him going back to his time at Carolina.

xsinlaws at the last Flyers game went and bought a bunch of Flyers BABY stuff for xsgrandbabytobe [hugely discounted obv since their season was over!], and xsMIL mentioned how the mother of the baby was a Caps fan. the vendor said, could be worse, she could be a Pen fan. so yeah the mutual hatred runs a lot of diff ways. and so yeah, last Friday, xsbaby and I went to Kettler for Caps practice and autograph session afterwards [xsbaby got her pic with fave player Tom Wilson and was on cloud 9] and I did feel compelled to go in the store and buy a FULL PRICE caps onesie [bc we ARE still alive at this point], bc I was going to be d@mned that he not have any caps stuff with that crapload of flyers stuff arriving later that day ; )

I understand that, too. I did meet this sister and she is a sweetheart. I am sure she will agree, reluctantly. I hate that we even have to ask, though.

if push comes to shove I bet she won’t let you down. But Kate doesn’t need to go out as early as you guys are going just to shoot the wedding, so there’s still time for her to be released and hopefully feeling better.

I think you have to raise the baby to be respectful and let him make his own decision. ;-)

She flies out Wednesday, starts work Thursday night for rehearsal dinner, then the pre-wedding, wedding Friday, then they are off for a short vacation up the coast to San Francisco. They fly back on Monday. Except for the day and a half of taking pics, she can rest??? She has her friend Allison coming, who had invested in her own ticket out. She won’t let us down unless they ground her, I imagine.

we have a spate of weddings coming up this year, after not having been to any for a long time [other than my niece and my daughter]. In May we have xs-Soninlaw's brother's wedding in Providence, RI, which I am really looking forward to. and then June is xshub's former BIL's marriage [his deceased sister's husband is remarrying] in upstate NY at some winery [was SOOOO Hoping they would've had a destination wedding somewhere cool, but no we have to trek upstate], beginning of August is one of our friends daughter's wedding out in Sandpoint, Idaho [will depend on when xsgrandbaby arrives as to whether we make that one or not] and then October is xsteen's best friend's wedding here in DC. The RI one and the one here are formal evening weddings so I had to break down and buy a long dress. I can wear it to both.

I am including Dave in this fashion post, bc I know he thrives on it. This article had xsteen fuming yesterday. xsteen loves lilly Pulitzer, it was huge in her HS bc it was a prep school etc. Heck, even I own a few Lilly dresses. But this article really speaks to WHITE PRIVILEDGE and that's why Robin Givhen denigrates lilly! it is soooo clear! bright colors are infantilizing, but if MOOCHELLE's big bohunkus dons some African designer or Japanese designer and wears bright colors, it is the EPITOME of high style.
