“Denver only took two quarterbacks into the season; Tebow and Orton. “

In 2010 they took three to the season. Tebow beat out both Orton and Quinn.

“And yet he and McElroy were both started ahead of Tebow. “

If you remember, when M started, Tebow was on the injured list with two broken ribs.

“I said he was in 12 games. I never said or implied he started any of them, and in fact I don’t think he did.”

But you used all the games to get his per game TD passes implying he was the starting quarterback.

” There usually isn’t a free rusher tackling a QB in the pocket.”

Happens quite often .... with predictable results.

“I’ve hit you with all the facts a dozen times. you don’t want to listen to those. But the fact remains that he has a terrible completion percentage, terrible QB rating, and he’s never been higher than 3rd on an NFL depth chart. “

Fact 1. He was #2 starting the 2011 season.

Fact 2. He was #1 ending the 2011 season.

Your facts are like wet noodles.

“He” was benched. I guess “He” shouldn’t have started the season?

Alright he did 1 season beating out Brady Quinn for the #2 spot. There’s a grand accomplishment.

“Alright he did 1 season beating out Brady Quinn for the #2 spot. There’s a grand accomplishment.”

Then he beat out Kyle for the #1 spot and took a dismal team to the playoffs winning one and losing one. Even the great ones like Manning have lost to NE.

They finished 8-8 including losing their last 3 games, only made the playoffs because the AFC West blows. And the defense fixed their problems dropping their points allowed by 15. If the defense had performed in the first 5 games like they did down the stretch Orton goes 4-1 and never gets pulled. If they performed down the stretch the way they started Tebow goes 0fer. It’s a 53 man roster, giving all the win credit to the QB is ignoring a lot of what happens on the field. Meanwhile he completed less than half his passes, had a bad QB rating, and nobody has started him since. He’s a backup quality QB with fans that just can’t accept reality making a lot of noise.

Tebow didn't start until Orton got injured so it's hard to understand how Tebow beat him out.

And the four games after that?

Obviously he outplayed Tebow in the pre-season so I don't see any reason why he shouldn't have started. And since Orton lasted two more years in the league after the Jets cut Tebow then maybe Orton was the better QB after all?

You are confusing me with someone else.

’ The Broncos benched quarterback Kyle Orton in favor of Tim Tebow.’

Nothing about an injury.

‘The Jets’ offense scored 281 points, ranking them 30th in the league’

The coach was fired.

He was traded.

You post that the one that starts is the better qb. Orton was benched for Tebow. That makes Tebow the better qb.

Really? A dude that throws as many interceptions as TDS?

And a QB rating of 3.6 wins games?

” He’s spent his entire career 3rd on the depth chart “

As you said before, he started #2 in 2011. Be consistent!

And he finished #1.
