Yes he is. After 10 years in the NFL.
Tebow is going to camp.
But will he make it out of camp? That's the question.
But Tebow was a first round pick. Supposedly the future of the Broncos. After two years he's traded along with a seventh round pick in exchange for a fourth round and a sixth round. If that isn't dumped then it's the next best thing.
“But Tebow was a first round pick. Supposedly the future of the Broncos”
Elway said he wanted a super bowl in two years and picked up super star Manning. He had no desire to groom a young qb.
Maybe if he had one worth grooming?
Tebow is a great guy. But I saw him play for the Pats during the preseason, and he is a terribly inaccurate passer. He missed guys badly on short routes. His performances were some of the worst I’ve seen in the NFL.
And, I showed you why that link is garbage. My statement is an observable fact if you apply logic to the physical actions of the game.
I’m glad you hated Eason, too. I could never get over the fact that there was a QB debate between him and Grogan.
You could count on him to throw a sure five-yarder on third-and-ten to get a wide receiver’s head taken off. Kept his stats looking good, though.
This seems so simple. If you can't find a safe receiver, you can run it or you can avoid the interception and the sack. More than a few times at Denver, he got the ball to receivers who then muffed it badly.
Sometimes the receiver blows it. Happens for all QBs. And sometimes the QB wisely throws it away. But Tebow often just blew it, missing receivers by whole yards. He’s just not accurate with his throws.
” My statement is an observable fact if you apply logic to the physical actions of the game.”
Yes. I also observed the sun coming up in the east this morning. It is so obvious based on physical actions that the sun goes around the earth!
“Maybe if he had one worth grooming? “
He still doesn’t. PM has limited time left, they are losing their receiving corp and no QB for the future.
Looks like Elway has destroyed Denver in his failed quest for the superbowl.
Destroyed? No. Denver has a lot of talent and they're grooming Osweiler who was their second round in 2012. So if he pans out then they should be fine.
Speaking of destroying teams, I see more and more mock drafts having Philadelphia trading up for Mariota. If they do that then it's going to cost them a lot in the way of draft picks, and would make Tebow redundant.
Osweiler ... wonder who will pick him up next year.
So, you’re agreeing that the physical aspects of the game will cause more injuries to running QBs? At least you finally see the light.
Lol ... You really believe the sun revolves around the earth?
You got me! I really believe that! You so smart!
Huh? That same year Manning went one and done again with a loss to the Colts, scoring just 13 points and not getting to play the Patriots again.
Well, that's one way. Getting first downs by foot or by arm both keep drives going, and get in the end zone. A 5 yard completion is not inherently superior to a 5 yard run. Throwing for 300 yards and only getting 1 TD out of it isn't exactly superior either.
As an extreme example of offensive scoring efficiency compared to yardage was the Patriots 8th ranked offense which scored more than 75 points more than the top ranked offense. The goal isn't actually to make more completions, or to accumulate more yards...but rather to score more points.
That's the most likely cause for most teams. On the other hand, there are a few teams that don't really have a drop-back QB, or even a real QB at all. I don't think there's any issue people have with Tebow not beating out Tom Brady, and it is understandable why Brady's backup chosen would have similar style. What seems rather more odd is why Tebow wasn't given a chance at all when Sanchez collapsed and became clearly useless. For all Tebow's faults, he had shown he could clearly play better than that mess.
A QBs job is completing passes. If he does that everything else will follow. Tebow doesn’t, not much follows.
