I don't understand how they can accuse the man of "possession of a wild animal without a permit" if the animal was not caged or otherwise constrained. This charge will not stand. Plenty of rodents chew they way into houses. They are not always noticed; in other cases they are hard to evict.

Officers arrested 51-year-old Sheila Aslinger Phillipe and 53-year-old Bradley Bundy, both of Bedford, on charges of dealing heroin over 5 grams with a firearm; dealing heroin; possession of heroin over 5 grams with a firearm; possession of meth with a firearm; possession of meth; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of ginseng out of season and possession of a wild animal without a permit.

Yeronner, my clients are being unduly hoorassed. If the squirrel was freely running around the house eating cat food how can they be charged with possession of it? The squirrel was obviously there by its own free will. I demand that you drop these scurrilous charges and allow them to go about their peaceable lives in the holler.
