Perhaps. But as an early defender of Splenda and seeking to cut out all highly-processed foods from my diet, I was shocked to find out how Splenda is manufactured. Much as I was shocked to learn about ‘canola oil’. We all are subject to and influenced by advertising/propaganda at some point (guilty, here); most of us eventually wake up.

Without regards to all the other hype (all of which every non-sugar sweetener in this country has promoted one way or the other, including all the testing BS) the process described is factual.

I used to consume it daily in my diet soda (Diet Rite); I choose not to now for health & teeth reasons as a result of the facts, not emotional reaction.

The process described was written by someone without much training in food science or human physiology. The chlorine that causes so much fear in the article is the same chlorine used in table salt. The horror.

Sucralose isn't metabolized by the body so any health fears are unfounded. The testing isn't BS. Sucralose and Aspartame are two of the most tested food ingredients in history. Supplements should receive a fraction of the attention of Sucralose and Aspartame. Supplements can absolutely be dangerous. Sucralose and Aspartame are not.
