Joe Bastardi ping.
Thanks. Another 10 days or so of cold and then spring time returns. Joe also tells how the “newly discovered heat blob in the northern Pacific” was first written about back in the 1950s. Just shows, in my words, how the current weather folks don’t look at metrological history.
Ya never know. We got a half inch here this morning. Big puffy dark clouds continue..
Bring it on.. Or maybe the giant blob of plastic and junk is having some effect.
I have to wear a parka to go outdoors during the day, and we’ve had a fire in the fireplace almost every night for at least a week. I’m freezing!
I hope that Joe has some good news for us!
Thank you for the post.
Thank you for the post and ping!
Thanks for the ping.
He was remiss in not reporting the Duke University study showing global warming has slowed to natural variation standard. Reported only in Britain, where, for some reason, not every newsroom has an Obama editor spider sitting at the middle of the web, waiting for some unwary conservative point of view to trip the alarm, then to run over to suck out the juices.
Study was picked up from Science Daily:

Thanks; I see their next article claimed the hiatus would make little difference to the temperature in 2100. Not much interest in either article in mainstream press.
Study apparently released on April 21 and made it to places like Watt’s Up With That? and Science Daily. Limbaugh also highlighted it and the Duke douches have responded, so it will get MSM press too.
It’s been dark all day here, the wind peaked at 40 mph, but no precip.
I have a log. I could have had a fire. Dang.
You are welcome.
My pleasure.
LOL! I can’t believe how cold it’s been. :)
Any time. :)
Winter has finally arrived in southern California.
Or they do and, not seeing what they want, they go back and adjust it.
