“Maybe the fact that I will soon be 75 has something to do with it.”

A friend of mine likes to make real deserts. They take hours. They bring tears to my eyes. They taste like I remember. I’m 61 and, probably part of the loss is my own. But the greater part is the food itself.

Our next door neighbor makes French pastries and desserts and she shares with us. They are incredibly good. On the other hand after loving
Shrimp my whole life, they no longer taste good to me, even fried shrimp. I am not eating less, as I should, I just don't enjoy things as much.
Hearing goes,sight goes, sense of smell goes, why not taste too?

Actually, as you age your sense of smell gets ruined. And that deadens the taste of most things.

Thats one of the reasons the eldery in nursing homes stop eating. Even the well cooked food just does not taste good.
