Hubby’s strawberries were neglected last year after harvest. We are not expecting much from what is left. He’s got to work on it and maybe get some runners later on to fill in the bare spots.
These are beautiful - I’ll have to show him your set up. Is that chicken wire around rebar? He’s been using netting, but the squirrels are barely deterred, and they seem to have wised up with respect to the live traps.

The frame is 1/2” square tubing but rebar would work. I used 1” welded wire as a few birds can get through chicken wire unless he can find the small aviary wire like I used for protecting my blueberries. Everything is so blasted expensive these days it takes my breath away ~

I start my corn in the greenhouse to get a jump on the weather and this year I got about a 95% germination rate. We put these out on the cold frame yesterday to harden them off before transplanting to the garden ~
