We Need to Bring Jobs Back to America (Trade Deficit with China, Rapidly Escalating)
The Census Bureau ^ | Cinco de Mayo, 2015 | (just a rant)

This is a US Government website which tracks our (negative, and getting ever worse) trade deficit with the Peoples Republic of China.

Last year we ran an all-time new record trade deficit with China of 342 billion dollars.

Guess what?

IT IS GETTING WORSE.

In march. the trade deficit increased around 10 billion dollars, just for the month. In fact, more than 10 billion dollars.

America needs to bring back manufacturing to the United States.

We cannot continue to fund everyone else.

We need to build up our own country. Bring back American manufacturing.

GOP this issue is just waiting to be exploited. Don't let the Democrats rally America to rebuild jobs, it will be the end of the GOP.

Stand up for American jobs, Republicans.

Bring back American jobs.

trade deficits are meaningless, just an accounting fiction. Trade is always balanced. A very great economist (Armen Alchian) said
my golf score has more to do with the economy than the trade balace.

Will Americans work for negative wages? Minimum wages - health insurance premiums. They will say - “you’re lucky to have it”.

I don’t think jobs are coming back to the US for a long time. It’s a two way mess; some businesses don’t want to pay good wages to skilled Americans, while oddly, a lot of Americans think they should be able to get a fat check off of a business, even though they don’t have skills and their only degree is a degree in Gender Theory.

I completely disagree.

We are obviously on completely opposite sides, of the global trade balance.

Don’t feel bad however, you seem to be on the side which controls (both) of our political parties.

So you posted an entire thread to chant your mantra, but you still don’t have a proposal as to how we accomplish this feat. Are you calling for unicorn farts or fairy dust?

I’ve posted this tread, because America has a huge problem.

Our problem is that there is nobody, anywhere on the political landscape at the moment, who wants to do one single thing to bring back American jobs.

I sure did not get any suggestions from you, on how we might begin to improve things.

“unicorn farts or fairy dust”?

Jobs might however, be a very good thing...

American jobs.

“We need to build up our own country. Bring back American manufacturing. “

1. It is being done overseas cheaper, with less liability and less regulation.

2. Robotic manufacturing will need few people. Even if it comes back few would be hired.

3. It will still be less costly to set up a factory outside the use - using robots - in order to not pay ridiculously high taxes, face lawsuits, the unionization of robots and stupid, oppressive regulations.

In short, it isn’t happening.

The good news is that the government will just print money to take care of you and everyone else. They will also give you your own robotic valet.

I disagree.

America needs manufacturing, right here. That will keep our economy growing, and allow us to remain powerful.

If we buy all of our stuff from other countries, then other countries become powerful, and we become weak, because we become broke.

I say keep America powerful. Bring back American jobs.

Bring back American jobs.

You've been chanting that mantra like a broken record for years now, yet you never seem to outline a real-world, workable solution to "bring jobs back to America".

When others (myself included) attempt to offer real-world advice, data, and solutions to tackle this issue, you reject most of what you hear and begin pouting like a little child, stamping your feet, and repeating the same tired mantra again.

So, what's it going to be this time - now that you've gone and posted an entire thread devoted to your singular obsession.

Are you going to listen to the advice, suggestions, and wisdom of your fellow Freepers, and possibly begin exerting your efforts towards a real-world, workable solution based upon that input, or are you going to continue walking up and down the sidewalks of Freeperland, mouthing the same old mantra to one and all?

I really want to know, because frankly, your FRiends are sick and tired of the spam.

I’m just saying. I posted this thread, because our trade deficit is out of control.

America’s political establishments, of both political parties, have been taken over by the manufacture-overseas interests. Globalists.

While I recognize they hold both political parties right now, they will not hold both parties indefinitely.

I am strongly suggesting the Republican party (and patriotic Americans within the Republican party) be the force which stands up for America.

What we’re doing right now, is not making our country stronger.

Thank you.

Americans need jobs. America has been losing jobs now for one entire generation.

More than one generation in fact. Though it has only gotten really, really bad recently. China is eating America for breakfast, and here on the world’s foremost conservative site on the entire internet, ... silence.

America needs to rebuild.

Bring jobs back home.

GOP stand up. Don’t wait for democrats to get this, because when they do, it will be over.

Someone needs to grab this issue, stand firm, and America needs to rebuild.

Donald Trump may be a guy who will run with this. I don’t know for certain, but nobody else is saying a single word about this, and our trade deficit just continues to go ever further out of control.

Wake up GOP.

Cruz, stand up aggressively for American jobs. A whole heck of a lot of Americans will respond.

More than you can possibly count.

Some you might not even consider to be voters on your side, at the moment.

“America needs manufacturing, right here. That will keep our economy growing, and allow us to remain powerful.”

That is a slogan.

“If we buy all of our stuff from other countries, then other countries become powerful, and we become weak, because we become broke.”

I assume you wish to change that?

“I say keep America powerful. Bring back American jobs.”

That is another slogan. They ain’t coming back unless you reverse the forces that sent them overseas.

Robotic manufacturing will not be reversed. It will intensify.

“Tariffs, tariffs, tariffs. You income tax loving gloBULList progressives need lesson in humility.”

Tariffs make your world smaller and consequently slow the velocity of money, leading to deflation and misery.

Why do you think there are not tariffs on commerce between states?

Why do you think no one tracks trade balances between states?

Bullcrap, replacing the income tax the gloBULList like you love with a consumption tax and tariffs would SUPERCHARGE the economy.
