Well flame broil me if you want, but I kinda *like* the taste of some of McDonald’s “food product”. I’m partial to their regular old hamburgers and McDoubles and such. And (gasp!) I like Big Macs.

Kale and veggieburgers will make me detour past the drive-through though.

"I don’t want kale, I want a HAMBURGER.

Served fresh and hot, by employees that speak English as their FIRST language, and have a good, customer-service-oriented attitude.

Sounds like you need to head over to……

I groaned out loud (and LOL’d simultaneously).

Meanwhile, In and Out Burger is doing well, replicating the menu and taste of the McDonald's of 40 years ago. Stick to basics, use real ingredients, not this year's fad, whether cooking with canola oil or serving kale, and keep costs reasonable. McDonald's never was popular with the haute cuisine crowd or the health food bunch. It never will be and management must face facts.

You don’t plug a sinking ship known for fast/cheap hamburgers with kale...

Actually, one one of the biggest problems McD has is trying to appease the healthy food freaks, no matter what they have done or tried over the years all that happens is they alienate their base and lose money on the products. I can tell McD how to amp up their profits overnight, it's so easy, dump 50% of the menu, quit trying to cater to ethnicities, and go back to the basics that Ray used to build the brand.

Kale will fit in really well with their hip hop/ghetto marketing. Especially if they grind up and serve it with some rolling papers.

Hey, more power to you if you like it. But it still is arguable whether it qualifies as hamburger scientifically.

Hey, I LOVE In ‘n Out!

The only problem is In ‘n Out is available “in selected locations”, whereas McDonalds is EVERYWHERE on the planet(including gas stations, Starbuck’s restrooms, and probably the Narthex of certain houses of worship).

The test comes as McDonald’s Corp. works to shake its junk food image, with sales at established U.S. locations declining for six straight quarters.
Look for them to tank even more.

Just go to In n’ Out for that. Hot, fresh, consistent and always served by someone happy to have a job. In 20 years, never a bad burger, never a screwed up order, never a bad customer experience. The perfect fast food chain.

Yeah... way late to the party. But I’m always happy to plug the best fast food operation in the country. In n’ Out deserves all the praise they get.

They could enter another aspect of the health market with the Genesee Brewing Co. in NY. A Quarter Pounder and a Genny will cure constipation in a matter of a couple hours ;)

I like the double qtr pounder. That’s it though. Their shakes are crap, not wild about their fries.

From the article…”...the kale is included in a Turkey Sausage & Egg White bowl, which also has spinach and bruschetta. The other option is a Chorizo & Egg bowl, which includes a hash brown, cheddar jack cheese and pico de gallo.”

I’m sorry, but those two options are hilarious. I can just imagine the new characters that they’ll bring in to help sell them.

Ray Kroc is spinning in his grave.

McDonald’s became popular precisely because of cheap, tasty food.
