I have been on Beijing’s subway. In my view there are three things that can quickly attract a crowd: 1) A woman yelling at her husband, 2) A really fat person, i.e. 350+ lbs, 3) A Caucasian baby. Despite that, it really is a great city.

The police have a good point. I’ve been in those crowds when there was something to see. You have no control where you are going and you gotta keep your feet.
