Spent some time yesterday at my sister's place which is located about a mile from an Air Force Base. The Blue Angels, the Snowbirds (Canadian precision flight team) and at least one Canadian F-18 are scheduled to appear there this weekend.Yesterday they were practicing and it was amazing.A tight formation of four Navy F-18s buzzed my sister's house...couldn't have been more than 500 feet above. The Snowbirds were really cool as well.Looking forward to attending the show tomorrow..but the forcast isn't all that great.

They’ll be performing at the Yankee Air Museum show in Michigan this August.

Hub was an AF fighter pilot. Came home one day from base Saw these guys do what they’d been doing the whole day 500 feet above the back yard prepping for the next day’s air show

He said, ‘those navy guys really hang it out don’t they?’

Buzzing is not quite the word

Just keep track of them or bring extra underwear. There are 6 of them. Never lose count...if you see only five, get ready for a heart stopping surprise. That 6th one is coming up behind you, low, fast and LOUD! If you’ve never seen 20,000 people duck in unison, you will! What a thrill.

We have every year for the last 4 to Blue Angel weekend in Pensacola and stay at Margaritaville Resort. Center point is about 200 yards offshore from the hotel. It is wicked awesome.

What’s really impressive about the snowbirds is that it’s all manual flying, there are no computers doing anything.

I really enjoy the blue angels too. The F-18 is a beautiful plane.

I saw the Blue Angels practicing around 4:00 on the Pike by exit 6 in Chicopee. Quite a sight!
