Forget the distractions. A quota distorts the competence of everybody by lowering standards across the board.

As an aside, have you noticed military scenes in futuristic science fiction? The women marines are twice as competent and twice as bada*ss as the men. So, obviously all this works out fine when it comes to fighting aliens in the future.

have you seen the women in cops shows?....all young all thin and attractive...and the smartest and wisest of them all plus the most passionate.....

and they get paired with some aging male cop.....
