Who was involved in the deadly Waco biker brawl?
In 34 years of law enforcement, this is the most violent crime scene I have ever been involved in, Waco Police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said following a biker gang shootout that left 9 dead and 18 others wounded in the parking lot of a busy shopping center Sunday. There is blood everywhere.
Reports of the grisly brawl, which police said escalated from the bathroom to the bar and out into the parking lot of a restaurant called Twin Peaks, sound like a scene from a movie or one of the countless scripted and reality TV shows about the elusive world of biker gangs. More than 170 people were arrested on charges of engaging in organized crime in relation to the shooting which, Swanton clarified, constituted capital murder.

“It wouldnt take much to use your non-police weapon, toss it into the center of the bodies.”
That’s so gay, all this dithering as to how the criminals MUST have been framed. It was all a nutty police Valentines day massacre on the motorcycle enthusiasts planning their next toy run.
They got what they deserved and I for one am glad. Now 170 of ‘em face a capital murder charge, their bikes are being sold at auction, 9 got their lamps blowed out.
A good day for Waco PD. Good work boys. Waco is actually a nice little town and they need to run these types out.
I read they were still tracing bullets to see who shot whom.
Absolutely. Like I stated yesterday, it’s the “feel good” story of the week.
The gangs in their sorority look alike jackets would love nothing more than for that police to talk about this gang and that.
You don’t give them that publicity. It was thugs and that’s all they are. Individual thugs and criminals. This outlaw biker culture wants names and martyrs, so they can idolize them, have love rides, etc.
Release their carcasses one by one, let them figure it out. But don’t do their legwork for them. This Waco PIO is a good stand up guy.
They are. The evidence collection has been going on since Sunday at the scene. I think they finished last night.
This is going to be a long tedious process.
The question for me is why the Department of Justice is involved in this. Watching CNN makes it look like the search for organized crime is coming about forty years late.
The Danforth commission lied like a rug.
As it turns out, DR, it was not so.
The police arrived to a shootout in progress between George Roden's group and Vern Howell's group and arrested everybody.
They didn't just walk up to Howell's door and serve him an arrest warrant.
Also, he was just plain Vern Howell then - he did not legally become "David Koresh" until 1990.
Roden himself went to prison for murdering another cult member and died there.
Your facts were certainly muddled, but so is the larger picture you draw:
Vern Howell was not a peaceable man of prayer who was more than happy to comply with police orders. ,p>He was part of a cult that was involved in ongoing deadly infighting.
His tactical decision to submit to arrest in 1987 was not necessarily one he was inclined to repeat six years later, after he had gained control of the entire cult and had come to believe that he was the second coming.
They entrapped 76 men, women, and children, and through malice and incompetence burned them to death. They could have very easily waited them out.
The Danforth commission was a pathetic attempt at a whitewash.
Seriously?!? You could start with looking at all the pictures and reading the op article. But since you need me to hold your hand - Bandidos, Cassocks, Scimitars, Leathernecks, Veterans, Los Pirados and probably a lot of independents since it had been advertised as a clubs (not gang) regular meeting. Check out the calendar of scheduled events for May at http://localendar.com/public/ucoctadmin and see other events for such big scary bikers like the Disciples of Christ and Mud Bugs for Wounded Warriors.
Show me where I ever said they couldn’t be.
I didn't even step up to the plate.
I mean the ONLY federal crime in Waco being investigated was that they had purchased AR-15 full auto parts
You forgot to mention that the list of offenses that Al Capone was successfully prosecuted on were: possession of an unregistered firearm, vagrancy, contempt of court, and tax evasion.
All of those were state charges except the last.
Al Capone was truly a poor, persecuted secondhand furniture salesman. The feds overstepped, right?
Is that billboard on S I-35 still up promoting the Islamic Society of America?
Quite understandable. Not everything can be delivered up like a drive through diner. Thanks.
Check with the owner of the billboard space.
No, they weren't. Local law enforcement (the sheriff, I think) knew Koresh well -- well enough that he could have walked up, knocked on the door, and asked Koresh if he could inspect any firearm he had. Koresh would have complied, because he had done so on at least one previous occasion.
But, the ATF was so intent on doing a high-profile operation, they went in with massive force.
“LE don’t usually use same weapons as general public but we can know for certain as LE weapons are registered to each person on the force and others won’t be the same. “
Can you provide details on the differences, please, and what does “others won’t be the same” mean. Thanks.
“...why the Department of Justice is involved in this...”. Well, this is possibly why the Feds are interested.
(The following is taken from the Lame Cherry blog and describes how the Obama Administration is trying to condition us, get us used to being treated like the Russians and Chinese.)
“...It just so happens that all these different biker groups show up at the same restaurant and somehow an altercation over parking space breaks out and the entire place lights up.............and who is there, hovering around, but SWAT again and who opens fire but SWAT, putting the people down. That is not coincidence but operations again, and all of you are not questioning what in the hell SWAT is doing flying black helicopters around a residential area and a restaurant with deadly force.
See, bikers are like Italians in the mafia, like Jews in the mafia, like ******* in the woodpile, like bikers.................see no one cares about bikers and we all know they are all criminals because we are told they are all criminals............but odd isn’t it how these biker gangs all are criminals and yet the skinheads and Stormfront barely say a peep and they all end up in prison, but the blacks riot and are rewarded, and the bikers end up all under arrest as organized crime.”
“All of these are operations and all are sanctioned. Jade Helm simply is targeting you so that you start to expect seeing the American Spetznaz on your street poking their gun barrels into your panties. If they want to murder you, they have the entire mosquito miniaturized drone fleet to take you out. This is about population control and the Pravda in all of this is George Nouri, as Homo Hannity swings by his vine sodomizing all of you in the protocols of the American overthrow.”
“So now you know the story. You also have no idea of the hundreds of operations going on in the United States every day which you are exposed to and some of you clever children are experiencing in your Internet bounces and cell phone disruptions.”
Quote from the ‘Protocols of the American Overthrow’.
