Yes, you need an IQ around 70 to fully grasp all the strategy and complexities of a child’s game.
Equipment required, one goat’s head.
Skills required, ability to fake an injury.
IQ required, 50.
Keep score? No scores other than staying “at bat” for as long as possible. And, at least, you got to play baseball, and got some experience in playing each position on the field.
As I remember it, usually the bigger kids stayed at bat longer because they could hit better and farther that the rest of us. (I spent a lot of time in right field!)
Glad it isn’t just me.
Small wonder it seems that there is not much in common anymore some days.
If I insult the near holy ball in any way, one would think that I killed someone.
