I’ve never had a friend-male or female-who was not motivated to choose a more stylish wardrobe, etc after they lost weight and were down a size or two, and I think it is wonderful. I think you look fabulous in the wedding pics-I haven’t seen any pics of you pre weight loss, but you certainly look great now.

I’m sometimes annoyed with wearing practical, unisex work clothes and boots, but I try to make up for it by buying skinny jeans for work at the online cheap jeans place so I will always look like a woman, and I never go without my make-up, eyeliner, blush, the whole thing-also perfume, and a pretty hair ornament for my ponytail or bun-a little thing, but it is my trick to keep a positive attitude and ego-of course, the guys at work are nice, too-they compliment me, and I do the same for them when they have something new and attractive on...

The young man was an outrageous flirt, but then he implied I reminded him of his mother......so it was funny. Schmoozing the customers is his job, so I took it in the way it was intended. I told him flat out you are one outrageous flirt and you just made my day as I laughed. And thanks for the compliment.

I wouldn’t have thought you for all made up and perfumed.

Oh, hell yeah-I may be one of the guys at work, but I still am a female with some vanity-I cater to it with the makeup and perfume at work, and when I go out, I like to wear a dress and all that just as much as a more frou frou woman does...

You’re welcome-it was sincere. I never turn down a compliment, either-even from a schmoozer practicing their customer service skills-compliments are music...

I was supposed to go to dinner this evening with Nemesis, but the weather is going to continue rainy with flood warnings into night-so I texted that we should reschedule for tomorrow-storms and dinner on the patio of a restaurant on the river does not seem like a good idea, no matter how pleasant the food or company-he did not realize that there are two creek bridges on this road that flood when someone says “rain”...

So he texted back that sounded better-and has been texting every 30 minutes since then, asking me to remember this or that time we were together, flattering, etc-he is most definitely going to make me earn my money and is setting me up for it-I’ll bet the revelations will be one for my book-again-his outrageous ego never disappoints...

Couple of politicians stole some jewels from a Washington DC hotel ... Yeah. Another, gemigate scandal ensued.

You’ve got the waistline for it - Try a “feminine” leather belt (pink or light purple, light blue leather, or with trimmed engraving) to lighten-up the working clothes.

Good friend (also a nuke eng) always used a light-colored (she liked bright red) leather belt with her work shoes and work shirts. Made a big contrast with everybody’s black or plain brown.

I rained 6 inches in the last 24 hours here-it quit just after dawn-the river is out of the banks and flooding, but is supposed to drop back by tomorrow. One of my neighbors told me the county workers just took down the barricades at the creek bridge, so we are now able to get to the FM and get around. The trails are all under rushing water-I went as close as I dared to the river just for a look, but there is no way to hike there safely.

I’m here. At the in-laws waiting to eat some burgers, dogs and kielbasa.

6 inches is a hell of a lot of rain. Some of the worst flooding in this area was after a hurrican remnant that left over 5 inches. I flew home from KC and was just ahead of some highway closures.

The worst of that system hit about 80-100 miles to the east of here-lots of flooding damage, people missing, etc-we didn’t have any injuries around here, or homes lost, but the river is just now starting to come down from flood stage at 19 feet..

I’ve had a hideous Lady Gaga earworm since last evening at dinner when Nemesis kept referring to his latest smack down as a bad romance-I almost started humming the damn song-must wash off with AC/DC...

“Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh! Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh! Caught in a bad romance
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh! Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh!
Caught in a bad romance

I want your drama the touch of your hand
I want your leather studded kiss in the sand
I want your love love-love-love, I want your love

You know that I want you and you know that I need you
I want it bad your bad romance”

I was at a picnic all afternoon. Just got home about an hour ago. The breeze had picked up and blew in some nasty pollen, so I am having an allergy attack, so now I am stuck inside with the AC. Had fun right up until I was leaving before it struck.
