Oh here’s another person dismissing child molestation. THE GUY WAS 14 YEARS OLD. IN SOCIETY, 14 YEAR OLD ARE REGULARLY CHARGED AS ADULTS IN MANY CASES. THESE WERE YOUNG GIRLS HE MOLESTED. Some people on this site are deeply misguided because they are blinded by admiration for this famous family that claims to be christian.
I wasn’t dismissing molestation...should the father have shopped his kid around to different counties until one would have had him arrested? Should the dad have had him stoned old testament style? Maybe find some Muslims to have his head cut off? That is your attitude, right?
Were you abused? This hits close to home to you to you doesn’t it to have used such angry large case letters!?
What would be the proper Mea culpa for you? Have the young man go to a high court asking the judge to put him on a sexual predator list? Should he ask for a medical penectomy? Do you want the dad to be put on the sexual predator list list? The mom too because she would have known about it? You need to check your “judgment” privilege at the door of heaven!
The show is off the air. Do you hate King David? His son Amnon raped his sister Tamar. Absolom was furious because his father did nothing about it. Absolom waited 2 years until the time was right and he killed Amnon the half brother and years of civil war was the result of it. The Duggar father at least went so far as to report his son.
Now we know that the Duggar father did attempt some type of legal intervention with his son and the papers were filed(despite the “pron cop”) so there was a record. Families aren’t perfect even Christian families, and now they’ll have leave the limelight and live a more private existence. As for the son in question, it seems God has chosen to use this time to expose him(despite what Satan has also done) and he’ll have to deal with public humiliation and shame far longer than even sexual predators who were young teens and put on the list at a young age would ever have to endure. He is now at Jim Bakker status! People will remember and if the son is truly Christian and has put such practices to death in his life, he’ll have a heavier cross to bear. His ministry is in shambles, he’ll probably not be able to get a job...certainly won’t get any recommendations from his previous employment. He’ll be a joke and a laughing stock, maybe you will read about him someday about how he despaired of life and blew his brains out! Yeah, that should be enough to satisfy your taste for blood vengeance!
