America has changed, it wasn’t so long ago that morning TV would not have run a light hearted story of the things from people who aren’t married, record while sleeping together.

Good point. One time I saw a youtube video of a game show from the '70s. A female contestant accidentally said something which revealed she'd lived with her husband before they were married. She was mortified, and the audience roared. But what was interesting was the comments from young people under the video. They didn't get why it was so funny. Other posters had to come along and explain, saying, "See, at one time it was considered immoral to live with someone before marriage. This woman accidentally revealed that she had, and was embarrassed." Young people today not only think there's nothing wrong with with shacking up, but they do not seem to know it was ever considered wrong.
