It is acceptable when Mooshelle claims kids are too fat (and cuts school lunch calories) or continually reminds folks to exercise, but when a fashion designer says what everyone thinks it is the end of the freaking world!

Every magazine editor in the world feels the exact same way - but this new meme of "fat shaming" is ridiculous. No one wants to be fat

At the risk of being a real bitch, I have to say I’ve never known anyone I thought wanted to be overweight, but I’ve known plenty of people who overeat for all sorts of reasons-those who care about their appearance and health do something about it, the ones who don’t give a damn don’t do anything but demand that everyone cater to them.

If someone chooses to be overweight, that is their right, and the nanny government needs to just STFU and leave everyone alone. On the other hand, those overweight people who choose to not lose weight don’t have the right to be accepted, accommodated and never offended, any more than anyone else does-being overweight as an adult is a choice...

Strangely, the only really overweight people you see out here are tourists and other visitors, even in the nearest/biggest town-less than 900 people. I don’t know if it is the dearth of fast food restaurants-Dairy Queen is it-the work people do, etc-but I suspect it is in part because it is the norm to grow as much of your own food as you can.
