Gosh, I'm not so sure it's inaccurate, judging from my recent experience. An April cruise from Baltimore was sold out; so was the hotel the night before. The second week of May, I went east. The hotels in PA, CT, and MA were all sold out. The traffic was heavy, especially considering that it was well before summer vacation.

It just might be that with the lower gas prices, more people planned vacations this spring.

The RV industry is also booming with record sales. Many boomers, as well as young families, are buying RV’s for travel to avoid staying in bedbug ridden motels.
