I'll have to say after having travelled by plane, train and automobile all over the world 4 times and back, I never lost anything other than my patience.

I’ve actually been there. It was a big disappointment. Almost all of it was trailer trash stuff. It was like walking into the world’s largest consignment shop.

As if it hasn’t been picked over before hitting the floor.

That.

The good stuff is picked out long before stuff makes it the floor of this establishment.

I wonder what the TSA does with all the thousands of guns and other contraband they confiscate every year?

I think my brother has been to this place. He’s in Alabama. Would be fun to go.

Not in it’s early days in the early 90’s. I spent lots of $$$$$, until they brought in a merchandizer who knew the stock. Then the prices went up.

"As if it hasn’t been picked over before hitting the floor."

Exactly what I was thinking! The very best of stuff probably gets taken by employees at the airports, ect. What's left after that gets picked over by the employees at that warehouse. What is left makes it to the floor, and probably isn't worth throwing away.

I’ve been there about half a dozen times. Not worth going much out of the way.

It has been years since I’ve been there but I don’t recall any bargains. I’ve never bought anything from them.

I’ve stopped in there twice en route back to OK from Orlando FL. I’ve bought a couple of clothing items, quite a few books, and a Callaway 4 iron. The cameras and computers are not very good values so I’ve never been tempted on those items.

I already bought the Arc of the Covenant.

Want to come over and help me take off the lid?

Been there, many times.

Your best bets are clothing items with big brand names, some electronics.

The best buys are in books.

I am amazed at the number of bestsellers and just plain brand new books that are left on aircraft.

I purchased a Tom Clancy for a friend, in German (he is German) and when I got it home, there was a 200 Euro note in it.

I got the 200 Euro, he got the book, everybody happy except for the poor guy that left it on the A/C.

I'm still surprised that it made it all the way into the store with the Euro note in it.

The stuff is picked over pretty well by the time it gets to the store, but I figured that everybody that saw the book (it was Rainbow Six) just automatically assumed it wasn't worth fooling with since it was in German.

It happens.

WAs a great place to bargain hunt in the early 1980s. By the 1990, too many people had heard of it and the stuff was picked over before it ever arrived on the floor.

Waste of time, now.

I went over in 1999 and bought several items at ten-percent of their original value. I went back last year, and kinda found sticker shock....most items were fifty-percent of their original value.

My advice would be....unless you are looking for leather jackets, just skip the warehouse operation.
