There are reports of Chimpanzees wild in Florida. Anybody down there see a chimp in the wild?

I read a wildlife book a few years ago, title escapes me at the moment, that mentioned that large wild apes have been spotted in Florida since the 19th Century.

Ringling Bros circus employees let a few monkeys escape in Sarasota and Desoto county decades ago and probably north of Tampa
The circus folks moved to Brooksville FL just north of Tampa after the big Sarasota building boom in the 60 and 1970s east of Ringling avenue .
