frisco melt was my favorite as well. i hadn’t been in a few years and recently went back. wow, the quality has dropped thru the floor.

these days, if i want a burger, it’s five guys.

tho today i’m going to search out dickey’s bbq ... saw it on the list and have never been to one. so... brisket here i come!

Mmmm those mostly look pretty tasty. It’s been a while since I’ve had a good steak dinner!

Ihop: who puts 4 tbsp of syrup on 3 pancakes? That’s how you dry your mouth out! You definitely need a pat of butter under the stack, and a pat in between each pancake, and one on top. Then drizzle a bunch of syrup under the stack, in between each, and on top!

Sonic: I’m pretty sure most of their large shakes are around the same number of calories.

Outback: that steak looks delicious. Dammit.

Dickeys: not a fan. But any cafeteria BBQ place has a 3-meat combo, and if you go to Spring Creek, they have unlimited refills on the sides. I’m sure that meal is more ‘unhealthy’ cause it has more calories. Even though you have your grains, beef, and veggies. Also, the best BBQ places sell all meats by the pound, and you can easily eat a pound of meat, a side, and a beer or three. Probably more calories in that, too.

Out of all of these, the only ones that may be ‘unhealthy’ meals are the shake (only dairy), the burger (but you can add veggies), and the apple crisp (no meat!). But two of those aren’t even actual meals, just desserts.

Will we ever get front page headline stories about the rampant abuse of drugs, alcohol and tobacco in the gay community, to say nothing of the devastating physical effects of homosexual activity in males?

Of course not. But we’ll get another 20 stories on evil milkshakes written by paranoid tofu-eating bike-riding plonkers in DC.

I don’t think I’d avoid any of those except the desserts.

29 and 32 teaspoons of sugar???

Many small meals means you rarely/never go into autophagy. Type 2 is in your future.

"five guys...revolting"

I can now use you as a perfect reverse barometer concerning food. Five guys is without a doubt maybe the best store bought combo burger and fries I've ever eaten. (my charcoaled burgers are tops)

The folks who made this list are ‘scare mongers’.

Bingo, the Center for Science in the Public Interest has a long proven track record of being non-scientific and agenda driven. They are a self described "public advocacy" group.

Steak & Shake & Five Guys have tried to infiltrate Texas, but Whatabuger kicks their ass.

As of September 2012, there are over 735 Whataburger stores across the Southern United States region.[2]

Try In-n-Out. Burgers and fries are great, and cheaper than 5G.

Most of those look somewhere between appealing and wonderful. Also, I have no doubt they are all dietary disasters.

I just discovered a burger chain called Mooyas. Pretty good stuff. Based out of Plano, Texas.

My first father-in-law would put beef gravy on his pie. He ate anything and stayed slim until his untimely death at 92. My dear Mother ate anything she wanted, tried every diet known to man, was over weight her whole life and had to just decide she was tired of living, to die at 92.

Bill Thomas’ Haloburger.

Unfortunately the only place you can find them is
Flint, Michigan.

I know what you mean. I couldn’t finish my meal at Cheesecake factor, and the waitress took it away to put it in a carryout carton. When I got home, it contained somebody else’s leftovers.
