I second Bern’s as well. Also an excellent Caesar Salad.

“The Stockyard” at Steer Inn(formally Steer N’ Stein?)in SoCal was always a good(budget)steak.

Omaha has some of the best steak houses in the world, no doubt. I’m a native, so I have to say that before I admit that the best steak I ever had was at Gibson’s in Chicago.

This last one (#29) is enough to make me get off my butt and make myself a steak with french fries, with a little salad on the side, and a glass of Pepsi.

Banquet's Salisbury Steak actually makes a nice little snack sandwich, with the small servings of corn nibblets and mashed potatoes. I take it to work for lunch at least once a week. I put it either on Italian bread or a roll. Best part of all, it only cost a buck when on sale.

Actually, I’ve had some pretty good ones in Minneapolis too. Manny’s.

Another one of my all-time favorites is Wolf Lodge, just east of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. My mouth waters just thinking about it...

Yes, but at over $100 per pound Kobe Wagyu beef is in a different league. The best normal steak IMHO would be a prime cut of Argentine Pampas grass fed beef.

I have rather plebian tastes, so I like steaks from the Outback, Texas Roadhouse, and some of those other chains. But last year the wife and I finally tried Ruth's Chris steakhouse in the Smokies. It was fabulous...expensive but delicious. My wife said it was the best steak she's ever had. I'd have to say it was
real good.
p.s On our many trips out west the wife and I have enjoyed excellent steaks at a number of non-chain places. But I just can't remember their names. Some hotel and restaurant south of Yellowstone --The Flying Saddle(?)---was excellent.

Love Bern’s in Tampa...great food, great home-grown veggie/sides, and wine list. But....
....my even MORE favorite is Pappas Bros Steakhouse, in Houston...I don’t even like rib eyes - I prefer filets - but their rib eyes, I love. Mmmmmm.

Well those used to be decent until they added a bunch of soy to replace most of the meat.

Haven’t had an actual steak (beef) in a few years.
I like them done on cast iron with lots of butter. Medium well to well done. Served with more butter.
Well I had a steak sandwich from Panera about 2 weeks ago, but the last real steak I had was either at Applebees that had shrimp and parm on top or Sirloin Stockade from their buffet. Both were a few years ago but they were really good.
We eat pork steaks all the time. Pork- the new beef. lol
