Stupid should hurt.

In a physical sense I prefer it only hurt when done in a criminal manner. Like in this case. Sure they'll sue and pay off Dad and Mom. The attorney already made it look like the suspects arm was hanging together by a blood vessel. Looks bad. Poor child.

Of course it might just stop the suspect from one day deciding to start breaking into private homes, where a dog bite might prove to be the very least of his problems.

You play, you pay.

If the kid had been me, my father would not be trying to sue everyone and drum up pity for me.

I was raised that if I screwed up and invited the attention of the cops, it was too damn bad.

Don’t call home.

Don’t ask for bail.

And I grew up to be a person who does not break the law because I *knew* it was my choice and my responsibility to stay out of trouble.

Blood simple.

That dog was trained to simply “hold”.

Mine are not.

What if he had broken into *my* house, instead?

I hope the kid heals up and wises up and that the taxpayers offer no profit for poor parenting.
