You can’t say anything against Transfats, that’s their identity, you’re racist.

If they want to solve the over-population problem, they shouldn’t phase them out if they are so bad for us. I am 72 years long and have been eating food with transfat in them and I show no signs of dying. “Yet”.

In a few years, the “science” will be determined to be wrong - trans-fat is actually good for you.

This isn’t another transracial/transgender/... thread is it?

When transfats are outlawed only outlaws will have transfats.

I’m sure this was the vision that Jefferson, Madison and company had in mind when they met in Philadelphia that summer.

Most food companies haven’t used transfats for over a decade for snack foods. As such, it wouldn’t make much difference for a company like Frito-Lay and Nabisco.

If the FDA says so .....

.... you know it’s wrong.

The government was late on this. Trans fats are poison.

There is no point to having trans fats (”partially hydrogenated vegetable oil”). They’re artificial. They don’t make food better, they make it worse. Their benefit is shelf life — they replace oils that go rancid. They were also brought in to replace animal fats, which, it turns out, are not so bad as they thought.

If you like two year old twinkies, you may disagree.

FDA is against skinny’s who self-identify as fat.

If you ever wondered why your Oreo's don't taste nearly as good as they used to, you can thank the war on TFA's.

Now foods, especially edible oils, will rancidify sooner, and before most people notice. Trouble with rancid oil is that it is loaded with free radicals. And I can assure you free radicals can be much more deleterious to your health than the alleged dangers of consuming trans fats. Gotta love government bureaucrats. Idiots, every last one of 'em.

Let me see if I understand America in 2015.

Race, gender, and any other thing can be trans'ed, but your bread spread cannot.

Fir for a king, but not for Americans.

What will happen when you replace I Can't Believe It's Not Butter with butter?

When your spread says "butter", what are you gonna do, argue with it?

Not commenting on whether trans-fatty acids are good or bad or even qualify as food ...

Could someone please identify the CONSTITUTIONAL authority for the Congress (or any of its creatures) to involve itself in this matter?

Considering the skyrocketing rates of obesity widely reported over the ‘pandemic’, it’s clear that 0bama’s FDA’s decision saved us all from ourselves.

Right?

/s

(I just learned this morning of this FDA decision, which is incredible considering my background and the regularity of my scrolling posts here at FR. I stopped consuming such foods years ago yet can’t help but marvel at the hypocrisy of the FDA in both their ignorance of sugars & seed oils, plus the obvious bias governing the virus jabs.

I’m glad to see that it was posted here, but clearly this FDA decision hasn’t gotten much attention...nor have all the other toxic fats the FDA has seen fit to approve as GRAS to replace PHO)
