Gay bars are only successful if there is a HUGE population base from which to draw. I live in a city of 3 million and there’s only about a dozen of them here, most of which are in one four-block section of the downtown core. In spite of what the mass media would have us believe, the homosexual population is extremely small.
They swarm up this way from the city.
It’s literally in the middle of nowhere and nothing, on top of a mountain, surrounded by thousands of acres of woods on a road that gets very little traffic, even on weekends.
Perfect little fetid swamp.
Made worse by the fact that gays tend to congregate in certain cities. San Fran’s relatively large gay population is achieved at the cost of other areas having lower concentrations.
