I’d been suffering from great emotional turmoil over my wife having left me a couple of months ago as the result her having had an affair with a longtime friend of mine who I’d known since I was seven-years-old. It was only days after she moved out that I found out they are now living together in another state. My anger, resentment, and hatred for the two of them carried no boundaries.
Today, Marcus Stanley has taught me a valuable lesson in forgiveness and what it means to be a true disciple of Christ. All I can say is, Marcus, I’m so sorry you’ve had to endure such a horrific and painful tragedy. Just know that your story and your eloquently graceful, merciful, and compassionate message to the person who attempted to take your life has now greatly impacted my life more than you’ll ever know. I now forgive my ex-wife and former friend and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me attain some much needed inner peace for the first time in many months.
