Amazingly, crazy people both get psychotropic drugs and shoot people.
Coincidence <> Causation.
There’s enough “crazy” to go around that disentangling the psychotropic drug angle is gonna be near impossible.
Well, it's generally true that they only put people on anti-psychotic drugs if they are psychotic (i.e. crazy). It's like when they say "85% of people who drink diet soda are overweight". Sure, overweight people are the ones who diet (or try to), not skinny people. Correlation would be expected. Same here. If you find a crazy person and you discover they were on crazy-person drugs, well, I guess my takeaway isn't that the drugs caused it but rather that they don't work.
And the idiot Dad who gave it to him.
Another mass shooting, another round of nonscientific drivel by Scientology trolls.
Seems like we used to lock up (dangerously) crazy people both for their own good and the good of the community.
Granted, those institutions were often woefully mismanaged.
Yet I often wonder if maybe the idea was correct even if the implementation may have been flawed.
Every day on TV I see ads for drugs to combat a multitude of diseases and in the side effects they say "May cause suicidal thoughts".
Don't any of them cause homicidal thoughts?
That, to me should be as common as suicidal thoughts.
I think humans would be more prone to kill other people than to kill themselves. -Tom
CCHR was co-founded in 1969 by the Church of Scientology and Professor of Psychiatry Emeritus Dr. Thomas Szasz at a time when patients were being warehoused in institutions and stripped of all constitutional, civil and human rights.
Seriously?
That's almost as stupid as posting an article from CCHR.
By the way, WHO is counseling these younger people on psych meds and what exactly is their mission when being prescribed these drugs? An elementary school, a theater, a church.. So many unspeakable acts IN THE ERA OF ODUNGO that seem to have a common thread. Coincidence? I think not.
Number of Americans in households owning guns: 153 million.
All the shooters owned, or had access to, a gun. Therefore, according to your logic ... what?
They just showed a pic of the monster being put in a squad car, has a huge smile on his face, which makes me wonder, if he is so proud of what he did, why did he run? James Holmes stayed behind, waited for the cops to arrive, but this guy with a huge grin on his face RAN back home to Daddy
Amazing list. Thanks for posting.
I wish this list did not bring up Aaron Alexis, had the pleasure of working with that bastard when I was in NMCI back then, though for a week, never struck me as odd but there was something about him back then, just could not put my finger on it, but I regret ever knowing the man and he can rot in hell.
Then again, did we have this frequency of mass shootings before these drugs (say, before 1950)?
All that post is nothing but B.S. Obama says its all the fault of GUNS, GUNS and more GUNS and they must be done away with. Why can’t everyone see el Supremo’s reasoning on this? After all, he is the smartest person in the world if you don’t include the other 8 billion or so./s
FDA is in bed with the big pharmaceutical companies. Psychiatric drugs are among the most widely prescribed drugs and are hugely profitable. However, under the weight of the evidence, even the FDA was foced to issue its strongest “black box” warning that taking anti-depressants and classes of approved psychotropic drugs can cause suicidal thoughts. Every school massacre reportedly involves youngsters on these drugs. Those not taking these drugs do not seem to commit these heinous acts.
