Members of my family risked their lives fighting the British in the late 1700s and somehow, I’ve come to terms with Eric Clapton.

“I’ve come to terms with Eric Clapton.”

Me too, but Boy George is another matter entirely. . .

Eric Clapton wasn't shooting your ancestors. This bastard was in his early twenties 70 odd years ago killing people. He served a monster and a state and an ideology devoted to wiping Jews and other ‘’undesirables’’ off the earth and enslaving the world under the swastika flag. "Today we rule Germany. Tomorrow we rule the world!'' The generation of Germans born after the WW2 do not and should not ever be made to bear the guilt or responsibility of what their parents and grandparents did. To their credit the German people have done much to make reparations and to atone for the crimes of the previous generation. This bastard and those like him who are still drawing the breath of life DO bear the guilt and the responsibility of what they did and they DAMN WELL KNOW IT!! They're a practiced bunch of liars. “I didn't do those things’’ “I didn't know of such things’’. BS they didn't. It didn't matter even if they didn't shove some unfortunate into a gas chamber or instead they sank merchant shipping in the North Atlantic or piloted a Stuka Dive Bomber, they served the state that did and their service to that state and that ideology made the Holocaust happen. What kind of conservative, for that matter what kind of American can take an attitude such as yours towards the worst soldiers any army ever produced? Take a good look at photos of Auschwitz. Do that. And then understand that this bastard was part of that. That he was literally guarding the life of the man who made Auschwitz a reality.

And btw, the Brits came back again in 1812 and still tried to reclaim the country.
