Only if you trust the statistics. Rape is one of the most underreported crimes, and it’s entirely possible that the least reported kind of rape is white on black. Culture assumptions have considerable influence on the reporting rate.
My guess is that white women trying to cover up an unwanted pregnancy are far more likely to report a non-existant black rapist to the police than a black woman is to report a non-existant white rapist. In the white community, reporting a rape to the authorities adds to a woman’s credibility. I doubt it works that way in much of the black community.
There’s also the fact that white people, on average, are much more likely to report crime in general to the police than black people, on average. Those two factors likely skew the reported rates considerable.
The black and white stats on murder, a crime much more likely to be reported, make it clear that the black on white crime rate is disproportionate. At best, harping on the black-on-white rape rate just confuses the issue. At worst, it causes the speaker to lose credibility. “If this person thinks reported rape rates reflect reality, why should I trust his opinion on anything?”
