“... why does Hefner always refer to them as “girlfriends”, implying all they’re with him because they love him?”
For the sake of kicks and grins, let’s flip the coin.. shall we? Maybe Hef is the “victim” of capped teeth/fake boobs, bottle blonde hair women who were after his money/paid surgeries/beauty treatments/parties/lavish lifestyles. Maybe he was looking for a good woman to settle down with and all he could find were gals who were willing to exploit their bodies, tell him that they loved him only to leave for greener pastures. Sound ridiculous? Yeah, maybe.. but if HE was the one who wrote a tell all book and wanted to paint himself as a victim, he could use this line of thinking.
Not saying at all that any of these people aren’t the scum of the earth. What I am saying is this: I will leave any compassion or kind feelings for the true victims of today. The victims of horrible abuse where a person/girl/boy/woman/man has no power or control over their lives. For example, human trafficking of children. THOSE are victims. I did read the whole article and lack of emotion is probably a common theme in a prostitute’s life. Just because this gal has her teeth capped, wears nice clothes and doesn’t have track lines doesn’t make her anything more than that. She accepted the conditions. If she wanted “love”, maybe she could have found real love with a working, Godly man who would have married her, given her his last name and etched out a life for the two of them. But Godly, good men don’t always live in mansions, have servants, posh cars, and a safe full of money.
