Not saying she doesn’t know anything about making money. But, I don’t think she realizes that not making her music available on streaming services pisses off fans, and alienates new listeners who discover their music via streaming services. FM radio is currently in it’s death throes, we are getting to the point where streaming (Spotify and Apple) will overthrow it, if Swift doesn’t want to be on two of the most popular music streaming services that’s her decision.
She's still on Pandora's free streaming service. I know because I listen to her there. Obviously, Pandora is doing something the other stations aren't to keep playing Swift's music.
Fans at woodstock (who couldn’t be bothered to buy tickets and resented that someone had a hamburger stand) were probably pissed that the Grateful Dead and Who almost didn’t play because they demanded to be paid before they went on.
FM radio may “seem” to be in the death throws but really rap and spanish stations are picking up the “empties” as white listeners shrug their shoulders and pay for radio just as they pay to watch television.
She didn’t say she didn’t want her music on those streaming services; she simply wants to be paid for her all of her product put out on the market.
