Good Morning Class. Welcome to School!

Here is my example with WFTD.

There is a surplusage of Republican candidates for president, and the ill-tempered jagoff from OH does not need to add himself to the mix.

No pushing at the door please!

There has been a surplusage of ever more ridiculous statements by Pope Frank.

Yes, birthday was nice.

Last week I got some kind of word that seemed to be from God. It was just “Move forward with your life”. Odd, but it came to me a few times and I even spoke it out loud. Sunday, at mass, the priest began his homily with those very words. I am at a loss as to what I am to do though. LOL I wish it came with complete instructions.

He is an idiot. Really, it’s that simple. He is letting the devil wreak havoc with his thinking and it’s pouring out.

Sad that we live not in a age of surplus, but in a surplusage.

The first thing after that was about spiritual warfare....and I have been told during spiritual counseling that that is my “gift” and I should pray for others daily.

Mass was said by our newest priest...he was ordained Saturday and came back to his home parish to offer his first mass. Place was packed. The homilist was one of his instructors from the seminary. After mass, our new priest spoke and some of what he said felt relevant, but nothing really pops.

Sad story. We actually knew this guy. His sons played hockey at Gonzaga with xsboy. They were several years older, and xsboy was a freshman.

Obamacare’s democrat message
A paean to left-wing surplusage
Proves like never before
That when they make a law
It’s ugly, like making a sausage

Our new priest spoke after mass, the first thing out of his mouth was that we are saved by our good works which had me gagging. I stared in disbelief....then after everyone else in the church agreed with him, he said that St. Paul would disagree with him and that we are saved by faith alone, our good deeds notwithstanding. Weird start to his formal ministry.

At our Father’s Day picnic, my convert friend said that the real answer was we are saved by grace....I said no...we are saved by faith alone, just as the Bible says. There is more to it, but the correct answer is faith and Father Mike did clarify that after misleading everyone. She claims St. Paul is confused and she is right. Lively discussions abounded after that nugget.

SrB drilled it into us that we are saved by faith alone and that is the formal teaching of the Catholic church. Sure, there is more to the discussion, but that is the correct answer. My convert friend said...whatever Paul, or whoever he is, was talking about he was wrong. We Catholics really need to study the Bible more. She did not even know who Paul is. I am still shaking my head this morning.
