The petition idea started at Yaron Brook's Ayn Rand Foundation in Irvine, CA. I sent Yaron a tart e-mail informing him that based on Rand's sentiments in Atlas Shrugged, she would have been outraged, or at least mildly annoyed, to see her visage on a piece of paper money un-backed by gold.

I told him that Rand should be placed on a one ounce gold bullion coin.
