Every American man over 21 should own an AR-15 with 6 30-round magazines and 1,000 rounds.

He can and should acquire more, but that's the minimum.

Yep. - I was raised by a father who had been an infantryman in WWII; had been in N. Africa, Sicily, Italy & Germany. When Truman (the U.S.) dropped the atomic bomb, he was still in the Army, looking at a possibly one-way trip to Japan. - I was raised with guns & “registration” was a foreign concept.

So you’re old enough to remember when this was a free country.

I would itemize, with one “bill of sale” or notice that the firearms had been given as a gift for each child. The point is to provide evidence created prior to any change in the law that legal ownership had already been transferred. Since the paper and writing will be old, that will be proof that your kids legally owned the guns before any new laws were passed if they ever need proof. Then when you transfer physical possession tell them to store the letters in their gun safes; no need to present the proof unless demanded.

Apparently our government is NOT afraid of its citizens. Perhaps this is something that needs to change.

And for those of us who had to fill out a BATFE Form 4473 for each gun purchase, that registers only the point of initial sale. There is as yet no legal requirement to report the sale of a firearm (in most states).

An old saying has it, “In order for there to be a registration law, there has to be a deregistration law.”

If the Feds show up at your door with a stack of 4473’s & demand “Where are they?”, the reply is, “Sold ‘em all.”

What are they going to do then, arrest you? Probably, they’ll have a ready excuse. Welcome to the new normal.

WRONG.

The correct answer is: "Do you have a search warrant or an arrest warrant? If so, then I will be more than happy to assist in your investigation with my attorney present. If not, please get off of my property".

Yes; a free country. My poor old Daddy was left just about stone deaf by the loud noises during combat. He just about loved FDR; Eleanor not so much, was ticked off at her being so powerful. FDR was his CIC. Daddy just about detested draft dodgers for a long time; then when he got older & Bill the Pill Clinton came along, he regarded him as just a boy who didn’t want to go into combat & EXCUSED that weasel. He died before Hillary began REALLY wielding power in this country (& others). In the Bible, Proverbs I think; it talks about when “women rule over them”, and speaks of it as if it’s a shameful thing. As for gays in the military; he had no use for having them in combat; said they generally washed out during basic training. He was tough. The hearing problem kept him in the dark a lot; & hearing aids didn’t help. If he could see Obama & what he’s doing; he would flip out & really see what the democrat party has done to this country. You miss a lot of nuances when your hearing is gone. (He knew I couldn’t abide the Clintons.)

Basically, SCOTUS said intent no longer matters... for proving housing discrimination (for now, but in a generation, it WILL be applied to criminal law, guaranteed)

You're behind the times. Most of the Federal laws, as extended by regulations, that ensure pretty much every American citizen, especially if they are in business, commits three felonies a day, have no mens rea element to their definition.

Any other pearls of wisdom would you care to grant the unwashed masses?

I'll chime in.....There ain't going to be a revolution in yours or mine lifetime as long as you so called revolutionaries have jobs to work, mortgages to pay, payments on your new trucks, SUV's and boats and most importantly, your kids' soccer and football games this weekend..........

If your calendar is clear, maybe next weekend the revolution will start.........but I doubt it.......LOL!

Well, I think guns are icky and I would never own one myself. That said, it may not have been a terrible idea to wait until now, because both S&W and Ruger have very nice little entry-level ARs that might do very nicely. Trigger's a little heavy on the Ruger but it's smooth enough like most Ruger triggers. No chrome lining on the S&W barrel but for five and a half bills it isn't bad. Quad rails on the Ruger, which I don't really care for but if you're mounting something other than just optics they're pretty nice.

I did buy some ammo today. Not a great price, but a good price. But no guns. Wouldn't have one of those.

Couldn’t care less what you’ve said. Your blog thread you started here assumes we give a rats ass about your comments, as though no one ever bought guns and ammo before because YOU didn’t tell them to.

Jeez, get over yourself. You saying so means nothing to nobody. What a narcissist.
