Louis, I agree, but I am feeling defeated. There are many young republicans who have applauded the decision. I am prepared to be obdurate in defending my faith, but I fear we have already lost this country.

We must retrench. The primary institution in this country is the church. If it must be rebuilt from the ground up then we must do it. There are churches ready and willing to take up the mantle of the church militant.

We must fight knowing our enemy and searching out his every weakness. The most conspicuous is that liberalism has no moral foundation. It is based purely on emotion and sentiment. A good starting point might be to insist: "If it feels good it is probably immoral. Stop and think."

We are now free to blast away with the courage of those who have nothing left to lose. We can become courageous, victorious warriors. We need only recapture the spirit of '76.
