I hear what you are saying. I chatted up a young lady in a restaurant earlier in the tournament who was wearing a Columbia futbol jersey and she said she was following the men's Copa America tourney.... She scoffed at the idea of ever watching a women's world cup game!

Tonights game was one of the best I have seen during this years women's world cup. There were plenty of scoring chances for both teams and I did not think the US women would beat Germany but they did fair and square in my humble opinion

I don't see the Women's World Cup ever getting as popular as the Men's World Cup but I appreciate their play and they are every bit as physical as the Men! The Germans should have been given a few more yellows tonight, again IMHO.

A female friend who plays in an adult night league here in NJ laments the lack of interest in women’s soccer by other women. The Copa America undoubtedly is a much higher level of soccer.

The fact that so many of the players on other teams actually play for American colleges indicates this will be a “white peoples’ sport” for the foreseeable future; I know there are African teams involved, but my African co-workers couldn’t be bothered to watch. After seeing passes to nobody, turnovers that made no sense, etc. there is simply no comparison with the mens’ game.
