God specifically commanded humans to procreate abundantly (and you've certainly done your part with your Chickadees!), when he told Adam and Eve, "Be fruitful and increase in number..." (Gen. 1:28), and when He repeated it after the Flood, "Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, 'Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth.'" (Gen. 9:1).

My inference, because I'm unaware of a direct explanation, is that God wants there to be as many as possible for Him to shower blessing upon, especially in heaven, and in His wisdom He decided to rely upon us to provide them. Of course, there may be valid reasons for choosing childlessness, but God's desire seems clear.

Excellent points.

It’s just never occurred to me that it’s any of my business why people don’t have children. I’m probably naïve in just figuring single people wouldn’t, and if they’re married people, such as my brother and his wife, I’m not even curious.

Do you think these women really find lot of people who care about their not having children?
