I read an article somewhere (I hadn’t mentioned it because I don’t know if I can find it, and I’ll be called a liar)that said he had a change of viewpoint after the birth of his second son, and that he was considering supporting Reagan for president.
He was Anti-War in the 60’s but I don’t recall him ever badmouthing the troops like Fonda, or Kerry.
