Or simply being a church member and not Saved.
I’ve met lots of church members who were offended by Scripture.
Worked in a large organization that represented a church organization. Lotsa believers. Putting out Scripture in front of some, though, was close to dangerous.
I speak from experience.
I would question if he truly was.
God says He will not let anyone who is His, be taken away from Him. And I believe that, I trust God when He says that.
Probably not...
I have doubts, since he lacks evidence of an indwelling Holy Spirit that comes from a saving faith.
