"Okay, I said earlier today he was pro-choice. I will accept this as a true change of mind on the matter and accept his assertion that he is pro-life."
And now you are asking if I am a Christian?
You are kind of proving my point. You are looking to tear down. You are wanting to prove impurity on every single person who you haven't already determine meets your standards.
How is your behavior, your statements, your attitude going to convince a single person that you have an argument worth considering?
THINK!!!!
When we have lost two Presidential elections in a row to the most liberal, anti-Christian President to ever hold the office, it means we haven't convinced people of our arguments!
We need to convince people!!
When the most public and talked about politician on the news, the one that everybody is talking about, says he is pro-life in a very public way, that is a very positive thing!
It will get some people to say "Well if Donald Trump is pro-life, maybe it isn't just a position of people that I considered fringe."
But, but, but.... he isn't pro-life. He... he... he... doesn't hold 100% views of pro-life like I do.
So what? Most people don't go from "No restriction on abortion ever" to "All abortion is murder" overnight, or even over a few years time.
Most people who were pro-abortion in their 20s find their change to pro-life take decades, and children, and sometimes grandchildren. They slowly realize how horrible abortion really is.
But even if Trump is lying 100%, why shoot at him when he is saying something that helps the pro-life cause?!?
It makes no sense. It's stupid behavior. Just say "I'm glad Mr. Trump said that, I hope he comes to be ever stronger as a pro-life advocate, and I hope that his conviction holds up to the pressure of our culture."
But being reasonable and persuasive doesn't fit the purity mold, does it?
I won't be lying to pro-life conservatives, in an effort to sell a pro-abortion liberal to them.
