J.K. Rowling shuts down Serena Williams hater in one perfect tweet

To the surprise of absolutely no one, Serena Williams dominated at the Wimbledon championship on Saturday, winning it for the sixth time. This also marks Williams' fourth Grand Slam title in a row, not to mention her 21st major overall.

Among the top-ranked athlete's many celebrity fans is author J.K. Rowling, who tweeted a steady stream of support for Williams throughout and immediately following Saturday's game. But it was her cutting response to a body-shaming troll that propelled Rowling to trending status in the United States:

@jk_rowling @hansmollman ironic then that main reason for her success is that she is built like a man

I guess this is how JK makes up for the fact that there are no major black characters in her Potter books.

I’m just surprised to hear she has a husband.

Black bodies are very, very different than Irish/English bodies. My goodness, the great tennis player John McEnroe didn’t have a discernible muscle in his entire body!

She looks great to me.

I seriously can’t believe that this is what the west has been turned into.

Another example of how the internet has “enriched” our lives.

"She looks great to me."

You must be blind...She looks like some kind of absurd caricature of a man. Obviously she can't help the way she is built, but she has intentionally cultivated her natural frame into some beyond the pale.

I've known plenty of black girls who didn't have man-arms and rear-ends like a mack truck.

Dude. She’s a athlete, and as athletes go — she looks just fine.

The odds that she is not a steroid addict is about 1 percent! I think that it might be time to actively control substance abuse in tennis - but not going to happen until after she wins again - my guess!

She looks great. She’s the best in her field, and that makes her incredibly attractive.

J.K. Rowling tweets like a 6 year old. But then, it seems most of those who “tweet” are bird-brains...

I'm skeptical. The classy thing for Rowling to do would be to just delete the tweet from her feed.
These celeb twitter kerfuffles look like they're being staged.

I don’t want to know why she knows what her husband looks like in a dress.
