Kirsten Power was vehementally arguing with BOR tonight about the sanctuary city status of San Francisco and Mr Sanchez committing murder. She isn't too upset about Mr Sanchez previous felonies as they weren't 'violent'. Nothing to suggest he would be violent.
Shame on you Kirsten, I thought you were one of the smarter Liberals.
She sure complained about her health care premiums going up. So we know she doesn’t learn until it happens to her.

I think she’s a Christian. Sorry but you have to give them slack after all Christ himself was at least an unwanted person. Don’t force everyone to see things as you do.
Even if her logic were correct, 5 years for anybody reentering is not too unreasonable. It’s a choice and it’s up to them.
Her logic seemed to be that murder was the only felony deserving deportation. She poo-poo’d the selling of two ounces of pot being a deportable felony.

She repeatedly DEFENDED Anthony Wiener he of course LIED to her, she went on FOX day after day defending him!!!!!! Then BAM, OH MY he lied to her, humiliated her, VERY embarrassing for poor Kirsten, however she did NOT learn her lesson, just like Jaun Williams you can’t fix STUPID!!!!!!
I wonder how they’d feel if some conservative town set up a sanctuary city where the federal laws they love so much were ignored. Say sanctuary from OSHA, EPA, gun background checks, the ACA, etc. I’d love to hear how they would react to that.
Perhaps she would feel differently if it were her who had been killed, eh?

I believe she is Catholic. I disagree strongly with her here. I did find, however, that in her book “Silenced” she made a number of excellent points. She stated that PC is out of control, that it is not only Conservatives but also liberal who might be trashed by the Left and David Brock if they do not follow 100% the Left’s talking points.

More than likely she would. This is a horrible murder that could very easily have been prevented. Perhaps it helps to bring an end to the criminal sanctuary cities. There is no excuse for their existence - they only cater to criminals. And they excuse they give is nonsense because there already are U-visas for illegal criminals who report other criminals.

Kirsten usually does pretty well, she’s one of the smarter liberals. She has more functional brain cells than Geraldo and Juan Williams put together, but this time she was wrong and made herself look bad.
If she was in the shoes of Ms Steinle’s family, I’m sure she would feel much differently. Until then she seems to think a criminal illegal with 7 felony convictions should just be let loose to roam the streets.
And by the way the idea behind Kate’s Law, if I understand it, is not to put repeat illegal immigrants in jail, it’s directed at illegal immigrants with felony convictions who are deported then come back. So if an illegal immigrant is convicted of a felony and deported, comes back to the US afterward, is immediately subject to 5 years. Just for being here after being deported. Second time 10 years. So far several senators are getting behind it, including Cruz. I can’t remember who originally agreed to write it. They’re trying to write it so sit leaves very little wiggle room. They have to these days, groups like the ACLU, which is against it, will find every tiny loophole.
I thought I’d add that since some people seem to be confused about Kate’s Law, thinking it applies to all illegal immigrants. No, just convicted criminals, I think just felons.
Someone is also trying to get some support behind a bill to force sanctuary cities to obey immigration laws, by cutting federal funding.

That’s my understanding, too. We will have to see when the text is published. BUT sanctuary cities flaunt the immigration Laws. Period.
