It is beginning to look like the powers behind the scenes knew Cruz was going to be a problem and might actually thwart their evil plans and so needed something, ANYTHING, that would take the attention away from him.Interesting theory. In support of it: Trump is certainly hurting Cruz badly. OTOH, if Trump drops out Cruz should soar. But somehow I just don't see Trump leaving the scene very soon. He enjoys the spotlight too much.

He’s not leaving because he is on a mission and has conspired with others (his leftist friends) to destroy opposition to the leftist, communist, liars of the Democrat Party.

You don’t know that Cruz would soar. He could polarize the presidential process as well. Trump has name recognition, and can pull votes from across party lines. Can Cruz do that? We need to do more than just elect a conservative President. We must move forward with Convention of the states.

Why do we over analyze things so much? Trump is tired of the BS and has the spine, mouth and $$ to pee on people’s parades who he feels are mealy mouthed, spineless pols who smile, wave, ask for $& and then give the finger to the American people who voted for them based on what they promised. Trump sees this and has had enough and is giving the finger right back. If the other candidates were worth anything, they would have already been saying and doing these things all along but have they? With the exception of Rand and Cruz, to some extent, no. They’re too worried about which way the political winds are blowing. A vacuum in leadership always provides an opportunity for someone to step up and lead. Right now, for better or worse, at least Trump is doing it and many of us are enjoying the ride. Imagine how timid the campaign would be thus far if he hadn’t gotten in and bring the important issues to light. I hope he continues and slashes and burns all the way.

OTOH, if Trump drops out Cruz should soar. Not a chance. Cruz was being bottled up prior to Trump's shenanigans.
