As I understand it, there is a PNR, point of no return in one’s life. Also known as “sinning away one’s say of grace” or offending the Holy Spirit.

In the OT, we read of an individual named Ephraim, a Jew-turned-idol-worshipper, who gave God the cold shoulder numerous times when God tried to turn him around. Finally, after Ephraim had spurned God once too often, when someone asked God what to try on Ephraim next, God replied, “Ephraim is joined to his idols; let him alone.”

One other person comes to mind; Queen Jezebel. When she and King Ahab had run out their Day of Grace and Jezebel had been killed and the feral dogs in town had devoured her body except, pretty much for the palms of her hands; one of God’s servants stated: “Jezebel was given ‘space for repentance, and she repented not.’”

Let me ask you this: Although yes, “everyone gets a chance to repent,” after Hitler had run out his career of destroying 6+ million Jews, plus numerous nations and millions of additional non-jews; do you think he might have possibly still had grace left for him to repent and skate out of it?

God is love, God is merciful and God is longsuffering; but God is not anyone’s patsy. JMHO, of course....with some Sriptural authority upon which to base it.

Of course people would be offended with the thought of any great sinner escaping the fires of hell. However, such an offended person runs up against the thief on the cross and such statements as: “even if your sins be as scarlet.” In short, scripture is not clear as to who will and will not escape.
